Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data the QuizJet Telegram bot (@QuizJetBot), its Mini App and this website (quizjet.app) process, why, and what choices you have. Questions: support@quizjet.app.

1. Data we process

• Telegram account data that Telegram shares with every bot you use: your user ID, username, first and last name and language setting.
• Settings: the language and time zone you use in the bot.
• Content you create: quizzes, including titles, descriptions, questions, answer options, explanations and the media you upload.
• Quiz activity: the answers you give, your participation and results, and usage statistics.
• AI requests: the text you send with AI features such as /aiquiz.
• Payments: when you buy Premium with Telegram Stars we store the Telegram payment ID, the package, the amount and the date. Telegram processes the payment; we never see card details.
• Reports you send about questions or quizzes.
• Technical logs needed to run and secure the service. They can include your Telegram user ID and short excerpts of AI requests.

2. Why we use it

• to run the bot: create, store, schedule and run quizzes and show results and leaderboards;
• to generate quizzes and questions with AI when you ask for it;
• to provide Premium and apply plan limits;
• to keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix errors;
• to understand how features are used, mostly through pseudonymous or aggregated statistics;
• to answer your support requests.

We process this data to provide the service you asked for, for our legitimate interest in keeping it secure and improving it, and to meet legal obligations such as keeping payment records.

3. Who else receives data

• Telegram delivers every message between you and the bot. Telegram's own privacy policy applies to Telegram.
• OpenAI processes AI requests. We send only the text the request needs, for example your topic or a quiz's title, description and questions. We do not send your Telegram ID or name, and requests are sent with OpenAI's stored-responses option turned off.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts our servers, databases and uploaded media in the EU (Frankfurt). Uploaded media is encrypted at rest.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. If our AI provider changes, we will update this page.

4. What other people can see

• Groups and channels: quizzes run as Telegram polls. Members of that chat can see results and leaderboards, which can show your Telegram name.
• Shared quizzes: anyone who has a quiz's link or code can start it.
• Discover: if you turn on Discover for a quiz, its title, description, number of questions, whether it was made with AI and its play statistics become public, both in the bot's catalog and on quizjet.app, where search engines such as Google can index them. Questions, answers and your identity are not published. The website is updated once a day, so after you turn Discover off the quiz disappears from quizjet.app within about a day; search engines may keep a copy for a while longer.

5. How long we keep data

• Account data and quizzes are kept while you use the service.
• A deleted quiz can be restored for 30 days. After that it is no longer available, but parts of its history can remain in our append-only event log, which keeps the service consistent.
• Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
• Payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and refunds.

6. Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to its processing. Email support@quizjet.app with your Telegram username or user ID. We handle requests manually and answer within one month. Some of our records are append-only and cannot be erased one by one; if something cannot be deleted, we will tell you what remains and why.

If you live in the EU or EEA you can complain to your data protection authority. In Türkiye you can apply to the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK).

7. Children

QuizJet is not intended for anyone below the minimum age required to use Telegram in their country.

8. This website

quizjet.app is a static website hosted on GitHub Pages. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google when you open a page. GitHub, as the host, may log technical request data.

9. Changes

We update this page when our data practices change. The date at the top shows the current version.
